I See Within Me a World Where I'm Free

I See Within Me a World Where I'm Free
by Forrest Shooster on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 12:07am

As all my friends can plainly see,

There are a lot of parts that make up me,

Among them a future I cannot foresee.

I'm sure many wouldn't hesitate to agree.

__

Among the trees,

Wherever I'm free,

There is something I like to be.

Its me, you see. 'Me' I'll be, so long as I remain free.

By my decree,

It cannot be,

A world where it seems,

I am not free.

Shackles and screens,

That's not where I'll be,

For I See Within Me

A World Where I'm Free.

The Sky

If I wrote this as a song I'd add in this next,
"I'm Free,
You'll see,
Chaining me,
Is not so easy.

If you were me,
You would see,
The reason
Why I am free.

Turn to me,
Talk to me,
Follow me,
Lead me.

Teach to me,
Learn from me,
Maybe then you'll see what I can see.
Yeah!
FREEDOM!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Maybe then you'll see what I can see.
